Sports Flooring - HARO Sports Overview

WHY CHOOSE A HARO SPORTS FLOOR?

- Dimensional stability
Wood is a living material and according to the climate conditions, it swells and shrinks. Joints, cracks, and other distortions may occur in the hardwood floor.
The multi-layer construction ensures a maximum dimensional stability and reduces the risk of joints. Engineered floorings can be as much as seven times more stable than traditional solid flooring.

- High elasticity
Thanks to the use of plywood and the crosswise multi-layer construction, HARO SPORTS Parquet is more elastic than solid wood. The elasticity begins right at the surface, exactly there where it is mostly needed. Whereas sports floors with solid wood get the elasticity only from the sub-construction.

- High loading capacity
Due to the same construction mentioned above, an extreme loading is possible.

- Precise fitting
A high and exact accuracy of fitting is one of the outstanding attributes of HARO SPORTS Parquet. This is achieved by the computer-controlled drying, a profile machining using a diamond milling head and ongoing controls according to the provisions of German standard DIN 280 and of the quality system to ISO 9001.

- Pre-factory sealing
HARO SPORTS Parquet can be delivered pre-sealed with the PERMADUR sealing. This type of sealing guarantees a higher abrasion and closed-pure surface. And what is perhaps more important, it helps saving costs. A further finishing on site is not necessary. The game lines can be directly painted on.

- More wood for usage
By using HARO SPORTS Parquet, you will get more hardwood at your disposal for usage, than with a conventional solid wood. The discussion about 22 mm thick wood or parquet is absolutely misleading. Most of the different types of solid wood need above the normal tongue and groove joint a so-called dove-tail-joint. Furthermore the tongue and groove joint is cut into the solid wood. Considering these above mentioned facts, this means only 3 – 4 mm of solid wood - instead of the 22 mm – are available for usage, e.g. sanding. The remaining part is not for usage. The hardwood top layer of HARO SPORTS Parquet, however, can be used without any reduction, as the tongue and groove is cut in the plywood and no further tongues and grooves are needed.

- Ecological aspects
At all times, Wogans and Hamberger Industriewerke has been engaged in considering the environment. For the top layer, of course, carefully selected precious hardwood is used. For the middle layer and backing layer the hardwood is substituted by spruce wood and plywood. Why waste more wood and affect the nature more than necessary? HARO Floors are sourced from sustainable and managed forests.
