Most people think of sports floors as the very large sports halls in schools, universities and in large sports campuses. However they are much more popular than just large commercial floors. Sports floors are made from wood flooring but have additional support underneath to enable the floor to "spring" slightly which puts less strain on athlete’s bodies therefore counteracting injuries.

Traditionally, sports floors were installed using solid Canadian maple. The construction entails use of rubber pads which are attached to a treated timber PAO batton. This rubber pad gives the floor the necessary spring to prevent injury and offer premium sports performance. The solid Canadian maple is then nailed perpendicular to these sprung battons which gives the floor its performance. 3 Coats of a high quality anti-slip sports lacquer is then applied. Game line marking as required can be applied afterwards.

The use of ventilated skirting is necessary in order to allow air to access the sub-construction. Wogan Distributors can supply the following products:
